What makes you feel safe in your home now a days?
Having a Deadbolt? Maybe a Steel Door? An alarm system? Outdoor Cameras?
They are all good choices, but, how can we prevent or at least make it harder for someone to get access in the first place?
Well one thing you could do is to replace the screws on the door jamb of the lock you have now with ones that are much longer that the typically installed screws. With this not much expense except for some longer screws. What this does is re-enforces the jamb so it is harder to come apart when someone tries to "kick in" your door.
Of course, you can always search for added things you could but to install something to add a bit more strength to the door. something like this Door Guard from Amazon you may find useful. Here are some more from Amazon you may want to take a look at:
This one is relatively simple to install with a drill and screwdriver and a little bit of your time.
We also found something for the Sliding Glass Door in your home!
Until next time hoping this has you thinking about Home Security
